《全国高校毕业生就业状况》数据显示，从2009年起，研究生的就业率连续3年不如本科生，这与“学历越高，越容易找工作”的传统观念大相径庭。

　　太原理工大学就业指导中心主任袁群芳认为，现在很多研究生依恋“铁饭碗”，都想去考公务员，或者进高校、科研院所、国企等。但以山西高校为例，现在一般都只招博士生，个别管理岗位虽然要硕士，但竞争非常激烈。而本科生愿意去的岗位，硕士研究生又不愿意去。他们在求职区域、薪酬、行业等方面，都要比本科生挑剔很多。
