光棍节前夜，武汉大学“四大名嘴”之一尚重生教授，给学子们带来了一场关于相爱艺术的讲座。

　　尚重生一上场便否定了广大剩男、剩女想在光棍节前紧急脱“光”的想法：“我觉得光棍有两种，一种是物质光棍，就是没有男女朋友的；另一种是精神光棍，就是有男女伴侣但并没有找到真爱的。”

　　他认为，光棍节是明显的后现代行为，是单身男女的自我调侃与解嘲，以及为自身心理压力找寻的一个出口。而且，“剩男剩女”这一说法不科学、不妥当、不道德，是只看数量与结果、不问质量和过程。他以某单身明星为例说明，“剩”有主动和被动之分，而有人就是不适合恋爱、婚姻，因为“恋爱本质上是盲目甚至赌博的，过度理性是恋爱的敌人”。
