2012年5月10日至11月20日，福建省教育厅会同中国习网共同举办了以“科学发展、安全发展、关注安全、关爱生命”为主题的全省中小学生安全知识网络竞赛活动。活动期间，参赛学生达175万余人，占全省中小学生总数的40%；149万余名家长和11万余名教师也一同参与了这个活动。
