　　十年里，中国政府对于艾滋病问题变得越来越开放，也变得越来越重视。2005年，中国政府在全国范围内全面开展艾滋病的免费治疗，艾滋病也越来越成为可以公开讨论的话题。2012年12月30，总理温家宝在与艾滋病感染者、艾滋病致孤儿童、上访人员、医务人员、科研人员、志愿者和有关国际组织代表座谈时提及：“我担任总理十年来，每年都参加艾滋病防治活动”，“每当看到失去父母的孤儿、遭受病痛折磨的患者和贫困的病人家庭，我都切实感受到艾滋病给人民健康和生命安全带来的危害，感到政府的责任重大……”
