时下,不少中小学校长喜欢听恭维、奉承、褒扬的话,不愿意听不同意见和反对声音,从而导致学校召开的有关会议往往成了校长的“一言堂”、“独角戏”。会议上没有“杂音”,表面看上去很“和谐”。这种“和谐”的背后却可能蕴藏着种种不满甚至愤懑,不利于学校的发展。特别是在涉及教师切身利益的制度建设方面,校长如果不善于听取学校绝大多数教师的意见和建议,“一个人说了算”,容易挫伤广大教师的积极性,还可能使校长本人陷入“骑虎难下”的尴尬境地。

校长要学会从“杂音”中汲取智慧。创新学校管理,需要有争吵,需要有不同的声音,需要让更多的人拥有“话语权”、“发言权”。对于不同意见甚至是批评、指责的意见,校长要学会倾听,用包容的心态去接受,从“杂音”中听出“门道”、“学问”,听出执政理念、管理智慧。这些“杂音”中,往往蕴含着学校管理的新策略,教师提出的有些问题恰恰是被校长忽略的、需要改进的问题。重视教师的“杂音”,有利于学校的科学决策。学校一系列制度建设要自下而上,从教师中来、到教师中去,反复研究,充分酝酿,广泛征求意见,让制度体现绝大多数教师的利益,这才是和谐校园所需要的。
