据报道，由于反对死刑，欧盟和美国停止向越南出口死刑注射液。不过，近日越南宣布，越南将自行生产死刑注射药物。

　　报道称，由于担心执行枪决的警察受到创伤，越南于2011年废止了枪决执行死刑的方法。2012年，越南表示，国内死刑注射液短缺致使532名囚犯的死刑无法执行。
