埃及中央公众动员和统计局2012年7月30日发布的对外贸易月度数据显示，2012年4月埃及的贸易赤字增长79.6%，为175亿埃镑，去年同期为97亿埃镑。

　　2012年4月埃及的出口额下降13.9%，为151亿埃镑，去年同期为176亿埃镑。石油产品、原油、化肥、成衣、鲜橙和乳制品等部分产品出口额下降导致4月出口额的下降。

　　2012年4月埃及的进口额增长19.4%，为326亿埃镑，去年同期为273亿埃镑。石油产品、钢或铁的原料、小麦、初级形状塑料、有机化学制品、无机化学制品和药品及医药产品等部分商品进口额的增长导致4月进口额的增加。
