2011年德国机床报告数据显示，2000年，中国在德国机床出口中的占比不足4%，2011年已达29%，翻了7倍，销售额达到23亿欧元，是第二大市场美国的3倍（7.23亿欧元）。中国的机床消费占世界机床总量的37%，为机床第一大市场，中国市场为德国机床行业的重要客户来源。
