据日本媒体报道，在中国对外采取限制稀土出口后，日本就采取诸多措施减少对中国稀土的依赖。近日日本政府对外宣布已经与哈萨克斯坦达成协议，明年1月开始将从哈萨克斯坦进口稀土。
