继印度政府将黄金进口税上调至6%后，该国周一(1月28日)又告知泰国政府，在自由贸易协定(FTA)下，其打算向泰国珠宝进口实施10%的关税。

　　印度商务部官员表示："关于自由贸易协定的谈判还在进行，我们已经和泰国进行交涉了。我们认为黄金关税应该和我们本土政策一致。不过我们当然不打算在进口方面施加禁令，现在还在等候泰国方面的回应。"

　　印度此前为了遏制走宽的经常帐赤字而上调黄金进口税。但有报道称，泰国珠宝进口仅占印度整体黄金进口的0.02%。不过上调黄金关税可能加速早收计划的趋势，因后者帮助泰国将黄金珠宝进口税降低至近零水平。
