据越南《经济时报》1月8日报道，2012年12月28日，美国虾类加工商联盟向美国商务部（DOC）提出要求对来自越南、中国、泰国、印尼和马来西亚的暖水冷冻虾进行反补贴调查，同时向美国国际贸易委员会（ITC）提出要求调查美国内虾类产业受损情况。DOC将于近期对越南虾加工企业展开调查，以确定是否存在来自中央和地方政府的补贴。如存在补贴，美方将对越南虾征收反补贴税，而2004年以来美国一直对越南虾征收反倾销税。目前，越南暖水冷冻虾对美出口量占美同类产品进口总量的8.02%。虾是越南被美国企业进行反补贴起诉的第一种农产品，也是继P.E塑料袋、碳焊钢、铁衣架之后，越南被美国企业进行反补贴起诉的第四种出口商品。

　　报道称，2012年越南对美出口虾4.8亿美元，比上年减少14%。美国是越南第二大虾出口市场，仅次于日本，占越南虾出口量的20%。
